Valorant is a tactical first-person shooter video game developed and published by Riot Games. It was released in June 2020 for Microsoft Windows and was later released for other platforms.

The game has received generally positive reviews from critics and has gained a large player base since its release. It has also become popular in the competitive gaming scene, with professional leagues and tournaments being organized around the game.

However, while trying to download the game on a computer, many users are troubled by slow downloading speed, for which I’ve decided to deliver some fixes.

How to Fix Valorant Slow Download Speed?

There are several factors that can cause slow download speeds when downloading Valorant or other games through the Steam client. Here are some possible solutions that you can try:

Check your internet connection

Make sure that you have a stable and fast internet connection. You can test your connection speed using a tool like Speedtest (https://www.speedtest.net/).

Close other programs that are using the internet

Some programs, such as torrent clients or online games, can use a lot of bandwidth and slow down your download speed. Close these programs before downloading Valorant.

Reset your internet connection

Resetting your internet connection can sometimes help to improve your download speed. To do this, unplug your router and modem, wait a few minutes, and then plug them back in.

Change your download region

The Steam client allows you to choose a different download region to try and improve your download speed.

To change your download region, click on “Steam” in the top menu and select “Settings”.

In the Settings window, click on the “Downloads” tab and select a different download region from the “Download Region” dropdown menu.

Use a wired connection

If possible, try using a wired (Ethernet) connection instead of a wireless (Wi-Fi) connection. This can often result in faster and more stable download speeds.

If none of these solutions work, you may need to contact your internet service provider or Valorant support for further assistance.
