Recover Instagram Messages By Requesting Account Data
This method is for Android devices.
Now let me explain to you how you can recover when I said there is no way.
The thing is that, once a message is deleted from a chat it is no longer available for you there.
But It is still stored on the Instagram server, so by downloading Instagram Profile data, you will be able to easily recover Instagram Messages.
Let’s get started.
♦ Open Instagram on your Android device and head over to your profile.
♦ Tap on the 3 Lines located at the top right corner of the screen. Select Settings from the list.
♦ Next you will be taken to the Settings page. From there you have to Tap on Security.
♦ Inside the security tab, Tap on Download Data. Next up add your Email address registered with your Instagram profile. There you will receive your data file.
♦ After that you have to enter your Instagram password in order to proceed.
Now you have to wait for at least 48 hours. Instagram will collect all of your data and mail it to you.
Once you have received the email from Instagram containing your Instagram data, download it on your Android device.

♦ Now that you have downloaded your Instagram data file on your Android device, you will require a Json file editor. Download Json Genie (Editor) on your Android device.
♦ Once the Json editor is downloaded and installed. Extract the Instagram data file on your Android.
♦ Now open Json Genie and located the extracted Instagram data and Open the messages.json file.
In the messages.json file, you will see all of your messages. Choose the one your want to recover.
